Divergent

Divergent follows the journey of Beatrice "Tris" Prior, a teenager living in a society that is divided into five factions, based on a particular virtue or trait. When Tris chooses Dauntless as her new faction instead of remaining with her family in Abnegation, she discovers that she isn't jus one faction- and that being different puts her in danger she could've never imagined. The book then explores her struggle to adapt to her new surroundings while fighting to stay true to herself and stand up for what she believes is right.

This book has a prefect mix of action, mystery, romance, and dystopian world-building which makes it such an enjoyable read. The faction system in this world makes the story interesting and keeps you wondering why being Divergent is considered such a threat. Furthermore, whilst reading you slowly realize who the real villains are and what they want.

Tris is also such a compelling protagonist allowing readers to observe her thought process, choices, struggles and growth throughout the book and comprehend how much she's changing into the person she becomes. She is a very dynamic character who develops significantly during the book.
